How to Identify Your Target Market?

Every business needs a market to which it sells its products. Without a market there is no business. We will now get to know a term called MARKET SEGMENTATION which will help us in finding and knowing our market. It is the breaking down of large blocks of audience into small segments. These small segments have a lot in common which will help you in targeting. Suppose you have a big electrical supplies store. In broad terms your target market could be in a 10 km radius in which there are houses, shops, schools and offices. This radius is not specific enough to target to. The whole purpose of segmentation is to refine your prospects regarding attributes.  Click here

How to Make a Digital Marketing Strategy?

Digital Marketing Strategy  It describes how you plan to reach your audience. It is not a detailed document that has a solution to everything. It is always in motion, from one idea to another. You always keep the element of flexibility in your plan. Before making a marketing strategy you must understand that you are selling the results, the experience and the solutions to a customer. So, the basic few things to understand are: –  The important thing is to know that you simply can’t market your product to everyone. You always have room to make minor adjustments or tweaks in your VALUE PROPOSITION and your audience until it fits right. Your marketing strategy is built around your value proposition. If you are launching a new product or service, then your value proposition is of pivotal importance. It’s a sort of refining that keeps going on until you launch the marketing cycle. When you are selling the results and experience, it makes you think bigger.   Answer to the following questions should be very clear in your mind at this stage: –  AN EXAMPLE OF VALUE PROPOSITION  A very good example of a fine value proposition is the Apple iPhone. This product exists in a highly competitive market. Rather than marketing the features it focuses on the EXPERIENCE and EASE TO USE that it gives to a customer. The Digital Marketing Funnel

In marketing there is a lot of buzz about funnels. There are sales funnels, purchase funnels etc. All you need to do is to keep in mind that all these funnels describe the same concept. Funnels display the journey of customers as they move towards the purchase of your product. The top of the funnel is wide, and the bottom of the funnel is narrow. It signifies the fact that you will give awareness to many people but not all will follow the journey and make purchases. You must keep finding prospects in customers during the whole journey. This funnel also has holes in it because many prospects will leave the funnels due to lack of interest or desire.  Awareness The funnel starts from AWARENESS which means that people should be first introduced to your brand. If the customers are aware of your competition, then many of them will leave through the holes in this phase. The initial awareness should be pleasing so that the customer moves to the next step of the journey. Make sure you use all the channels at the right time to give awareness.  Interest In the INTEREST phase the customers will begin to learn more about your product or service. They will start showing interest in the features of the product. They will have many other products in their minds which they have seen somewhere else. If the customer goes in-depth into features and compares them with the competitor, and finds better features there, then you will lose the customer at this stage.  Once your prospective customer has passed the awareness stage your focus must shift now to the next phase. You may not be 100% accurate all the time but focusing phase by phase tactically will make improvisations in every phase.  Desire The next phase is DESIRE. At this stage the customers are close to making a purchase. They are finally evaluating the product. They might also look back on the journey that they have made this far and might evaluate their decisions. The customers must not lose interest at this stage otherwise your efforts will be in vain.  Action The final phase is ACTION. This is the step where customers make a YES or NO decision. They are going to make a purchase from you, your competitor or may not make a purchase at all.   The most important aspect of marketing is to keep the customer inside the funnel. And you must keep evaluating the journey all the time to see what went wrong and what move you made was accurate. Take out some time and write down the path which you followed while making a purchase. The more you think, the more you will be able to see it from the customer’s perspective.  Continued in the Next Article HOW TO MAKE A DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY

Examples of these are Pay Per Click Ads, Display Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. OWNED MEDIA is the media which you own. This means your website, your list of email addresses of clients and your very own BLOG. EARNED MEDIA is something which you have earned naturally. These could be ‘mentions’ on social media by others, ‘mentions’ in videos or it could be an article written about you. Let’s take the example of social media in digital marketing which will explain all three. It will also explain how all three of these may overlap. Introduction to Digital Marketing

Digital media marketing is a dynamic and evolving field that leverages various digital channels and platforms to promote products, services, or brands. This form of marketing has become increasingly prominent with the widespread adoption of the internet and the rise of digital technologies. It encompasses a broad range of activities aimed at reaching and engaging target audiences through online channels. The main components of digital media marketing are Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising, Affiliate Marketing and Influencer Marketing. Please visit our services page for further description of each content and feel free to share your requirements with us! Conventional marketing is referred to as the activities we perform to promote the sales of products and services. In Digital Marketing we do all those activities online. We use a variety of channels available online e.g., social media, websites, email and search engines. This also includes online videos and paid advertising on internet. In the past, before the internet, these activities of awareness and promotion were done through radio, TV, newspapers etc. The internet is used by all of us in our daily lives. People usually search the internet before buying something. It makes internet the right place to send these prospective buyers, the right message at the right time. Digital Marketing is an evolving process, and we often experiment a lot to find the right customer at the right time. This feature gives Digital Marketing an edge over conventional marketing. We will cover this aspect of Digital marketing in the upcoming articles a lot. Here is a simple example to clarify the difference between conventional and digital marketing. Suppose you are selling carpets and you advertise your shop in a leading newspaper. What will happen is that thousands of people who are NOT interested in buying carpets will also see your advertisement. This means that your advertisement will go wasted. Whereas in digital marketing you will pay for advertisements specifically for people who really are looking to buy carpets. Let’s have some idea of benefits of digital marketing over conventional marketing: – You can target your audience. You can target your audience by demographics, geographics, pscychographics, technographics and behavior attributes in digital marketing. There is also a needs-based audience. In conventional mediums like newspapers and TV, you don’t have such options. You get engaged with your audience at a higher rate. You segment (segmentation explained in the articles ahead) your audience and target your audience in digital marketing, so your engagement is high. Whereas in conventional marketing mediums like newspapers or TV many thousands of attempts of engagement go wasted because you reach out to an audience who has no interest in your product. Conversion of the prospects is fast.High rate of conversion naturally happens due to targeted market engagement. You are sending your messages directly to those prospects who really have interest in buying your product or service. Returns on Investment are easy to measureROIs is a great feature of digital marketing which does not exist in conventional marketing. You can keep an eye on the investment you are making on every medium and can easily measure the return. Your reach is globalYou can always target a global market in digital marketing whereas in convention marketing you have geographical constraints. Even if you own a small business, you have the power to reach the opposite side of the globe. You can have diverse strategies for different businessesDigital marketing gives you the advantage to launch different strategies for different types of businesses. You can target the global market with one strategy for an international business and a whole different strategy for a local business. You always have the option to tweak your strategy when you see the results.

How to Become a Content Writer?

There are about 1.2 billion websites on the internet and about 250,000 websites are created every single day. Every website runs on content, mainly text content. You need content to describe different topics, photos and videos, and so on. This gives us some idea of how important content is. Content can be in different languages but since English is an international language our focus should be on English. We must improve our writing skills in English to become English content writers. English is understood by almost a billion inhabitants of the globe. STEP 1. CREATE A PORTFOLIO The first thing we may need is to have a portfolio. This portfolio is representative of what your capabilities are as a content writer. Start writing by selecting three topics e.g. Health, Technology, Blogging, Fashion, and Lifestyle. These may be referred to as niche topics. You will not be able to write on too many topics, so you must select your niche I.e., a topic on which you have the best command. Your topic may be different from the topics which I mentioned. You may start from just one topic also but the earlier mentioned are the most popular niches on the internet. Get yourself prepared to write three articles on three topics in your first week. This may be a start and you can increase in the weeks to come. STEP 2. SELECT A GOOD BLOGGING WEBSITE If you are starting from scratch, then you may start from a FREE website like www.medium.com. This website is like the ‘YouTube’ of articles. It has a lot of traffic and visitors really like to read articles on this website. You also get good visibility and if you attract a good number of visitors then you can also earn money from your articles. YOU HAVE TO BECOME A BLOGGER FIRST TO BECOME A CONTENT WRITER. Always remember that you will find it extremely difficult to earn money from content writing if you use copied content in your articles. STEP 3. WRITING 100% ORIGINAL CONTENT Your content should be perfectly original and should not be a copy from some other webpage on the internet. If you have command over a topic and you can write anything on it, then that writeup should be 100% in your own words. It’s the most important thing in becoming a content writer. Start practicing it and you will learn in a few weeks how to write in your own words. Copying homework from other class fellow’s notebooks is not applicable anymore. You must remember that there are tools/websites on the internet that can identify plagiarism (or cheating and copying) within seconds. Therefore, copying will never work at all. You have every right to do research on a topic but when you produce that research in writing, it should be in your own words. Practice makes the man perfect! Your skills will improve. www.grammarly.com and www.copyscape.com will help you very much with writing. Use both these websites as a tool to help you. STEP 4. HOW TO EARN MONEY FROM CONTENT WRITING The website which I mentioned I.e. www.medium.com will itself help you earn money after some time when you get smarter at writing articles. However, there are many ways to earn money from content writing. You may contact different bloggers who are running big blogs. These blogs always need content writers. You may contact Facebook Groups of content writers and introduce yourself by sending the links to your best articles. There are marketing companies that are always in need of content writers. The entire marketing work is done by sending information and communicating with the market. Content is again an important thing here. At this stage, your portfolio plays a very important role. People will ask for your sample work. They may even ask to create content for a specific task. What you must remember here is that you should not share any fresh content with any of your news prospective clients. Always upload the content on your blog and ask your client to see that content from there. In this way, nobody will ever be able to cheat you by not paying for what you have written for them. Every content that you write and upload on your blog will become your property. You may also create your profile on websites like www.fiverr.com, www.freelancer.comm & www.upwork.com and can offer your services. It’s a whole new world! People will offer content-writing jobs and you will present your charges. In the beginning, you may have to keep your charges small. Later, after your profile progresses you may increase your charges. Remember that you must continually improve your skills and the results will be obvious. STEP 5. KEEP LEARNING AND KEEP IMPROVING YOUR SKILLS Your improvement in learning and your research in content writing are very important. Dedicate one hour daily to this. CONTENT IS THE KING!
